Memory wire comes as long continuous loop, in wholesale, memory wire is normally sold with approximately 200 loops per reel. If you wanted to make a bracelet, before you start, you need to decide how many loops you would like your bracelet to be in length. I normally make my bracelets about 3 loops in length.

When cutting memory wire, you need to use industrial wire cutters or memory wire cutters as it can damage weaker pliers due to it’s toughness. Take care of the end once you have cut the wire as the end can become very sharp.

There are various ways to start and finish a memory wire bracelet, ensuring the beads don’t come off the ends, including making a loop in the end of the wire or by gluing on an end cap. I favour making a loop in the wire using a pair of round nosed pliers. When making a loop, you can either bend the metal so that the loop sits on top of bracelet, or the inside. I tend to bend it so that the loop is on the outside.

Once you have made your loop/added an end cap, simply thread the beads onto the memory wire in the order of your choosing, being careful of the end. If you choose to use a repeating pattern, the same beads in the pattern will sit next to each other once the piece is finished.

You have reached the end once you have either run out of beads or only have 1cm of wire left. At the end simply make a loop in the end of the wire.
