Illusion Necklace

Skills required/taught: crimping, opening and closing jump rings, using callots and threading.

Tools required: one/two pairs of chain nose pliers.

Materials needed:
2x callots
2x crimps
1x lobster clasp
2x jump rings
50 cm x 2 nylon thread (I recommend 0.2mm)
Mix of beads

Step 1:
Holding both ends of thread together, add a crimp onto the ends and crimp. Add the callot from the opposite end and thread it along the thread and close over the crimp.

Step 2:
Thread on the beads in any colour order of your choice in the following pattern: add one bead onto both strands, one bead onto one strand, then one bead onto both strands and so on until you have used up all the beads or have reached the desired length.

Step 3:
Add the second callot so that the opening is facing the ends of the thread and then add the crimp. Crimp the crimp bead using the chain nose pliers. Trim off the excess thread and close the callot. Add the lobster clasp to one end using a jump ring and a jump ring to the other end. Your necklace is now complete!
